
Namib Web-Footed Gecko
Pachydactylus rangei
This beautiful gecko that is nearly translucent, in the right light you can see the organs under the belly. They are nocturnal spending the day in self-dug burrows. Its unique webbed feet are the perfect adaptation for life in the Namib Desert.

- Diet:
- Insects such as crickets. Will also eat spiders.
- Speed:
- Perhaps up to 5km / hr (fairly fast across the dunes for a small lizard)
- Habitat:
- Dunes and coastal dry riverbeds
- Superpower:
- Webbed feet allowing it to make burrows in the sand and increase surface area of feet to walk on top of the soft sand
