Nocturnal snake that during the day lays still in trees, at night comes to the ground and hunts prey such as rodents or even eggs. Living by river edges it is known to be an excellent swimmer. It is a venomous, rear-fanged species. Has a beautiful colouration, black with yellow stripes. There are 9 different sub species of mangrove snake, living in South East Asia.

Diet:
Small mammals and birds, also prey on other snakes, lizards and frogs
Speed:
Fast moving snakes on the ground, perhaps up to 12 km / hr
Habitat:
Mangroves or riverine habitat in rainforest
Superpower:
Vertical pupils ("cat eyes") that are designed for this snake to see well at night
